At the present time SDA is strictly a volunteer club for American Sign Language students of all ages and skill levels
in the Greater Pittsburgh Area to advance three general goals:
1. To promote Deaf awareness among the general public of the Greater Pittsburgh area.
2. To advocate the advancement of Deaf Studies and American Sign Language programs at our respective schools.
3. To provide greater opportunities for ASL students to actively practice their signing skills in an atmosphere of fun
and mutual support through the use of get togethers, sign workshops, and much more.
SDA is a wonderful opportunity open to students of all ASL skill levels from beginner through advanced. If you are not
a student or do not know ASL, no problem. You are also welcome! We are open to anyone who wishes to support our goals and
join in our fun.
